"*^ Caution ^* when using State Farm Sitka/Juneau for Life Insurance (I can only speak to this service). Nice people, but very ineffective and unresponsive. On any given weekday, you should “hope” to reach them, but you most-likely won’t. I called several times over the course of 5 months and rarely got ahold of someone. When you do, they promise to get back to you soon, but you can expect to wait around 1 week to a month. To provide you with my experience, I called them probably 30 times in the span of 3 months, waiting to cash out my whole-life life insurance policy that my parents had been paying on for 27 years. The staff made the process time-consuming, full of effort (I had to repeat paperwork because they didn’t upload signed documents within 30 days), promises that failed to go through. I was initially very kind and patient, I promise. However, after 2 months of inquiring about the policy, and 3 months of trying to close the policy, I was defeated. They won’t do anything to make it right either, will not expedite anything. In my case, they simply told me they were sorry. One of their girls went on vacation (Sitka office was unreachable for weeks), one employee had a surgery, and one was busy in and out of the office. The consequence was them forgetting about me again and again.

Truly, truly take my advice and take your business better off. I honestly wonder what my wife would have had to do if I actually passed…"
